Online manual

Technical notes for Allied Nations: Reborn, while its player manual is being prepared.

Last updated: September 26, 2026

The online manual is not written or ready yet. This page is a holding place for the future guide, with the development information currently available. It does not yet provide complete controls, tutorials, troubleshooting, or multiplayer setup instructions.

Provisional hardware targets

These are targets to validate, not established minimum or recommended system requirements. They do not guarantee compatibility, a frame rate, or a particular level of simulation performance. Please do not buy or upgrade hardware on the assumption that these targets are final.

Development targets — not yet validated against an exported build
Component Minimum target Recommended target
Operating system Windows 11, 64-bit Windows 11, 64-bit
Processor Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Intel Core i5-12400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600
Memory 16 GB RAM 32 GB RAM
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4 GB or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 4 GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB or AMD Radeon RX 6600 8 GB
Storage SSD; capacity awaiting export SSD; capacity awaiting export

The current engine requires SSE4.2 processor instruction support. Final requirements need testing of the actual exported build on representative hardware, including 160 × 160 regions and developed settlements.

There is currently no staged export from which to measure installation size. A download size, required free space, graphics API requirement, or measured performance target has not been established for this page.

Engine and technical foundation

Reborn is being developed on OpenACAI’s custom fork of the open-source Godot Engine. Native engine work covers data handling, serialization, and rendering paths alongside .NET and C# support. The game also has its own native C++ simulation components.

Alex intends this work to become OpenACAI Inc’s flagship engine for other games in development. Reborn is its current proving ground; that broader engine remains a development effort, not a finished public engine product.

Godot and its contributors retain their credit. See the Godot license and credits. Separate third-party components retain their own notices.

Networking and Steam features

The inspected development implementation supports direct-IP and LAN networking. Work includes a native bridge for Valve’s GameNetworkingSockets (GNS). These foundations do not by themselves establish a finished public multiplayer service or Steam integration.

Steam lobbies, invitations, relay, achievements, Steam Cloud, and Steam Workshop are not established current features. Planned integration belongs to the game’s development direction. Feature listings will be updated as individual services become available and are verified.

This page does not yet contain tested hosting, joining, port-forwarding, or account-linking instructions. It also makes no claim of validated macOS, Linux, Steam Deck, mobile, or browser support.

What the manual will cover

The guide is intended to explain world setup, selecting and directing a company, settlement work, supplies, controls, and connecting to other players as those instructions are written and checked against the game. Those chapters are not available yet.

For now, the game overview explains what is taking shape, and the development journal records published progress. Please read the health and safety notice before playing.
